What is aluminium milling?
Aluminium has the perfect properties for milling, being a relatively soft material that is easy to machine and a good conductor of heat. This makes it possible to machine aluminium at high speeds. It is important to use a machine that is exceptionally stable for this purpose to be able to guarantee the required precision at these high speeds.
What are the benefits of aluminium?
Aluminium has several benefits:

- Light material
- Excellent corrosion resistance
- Using anodising techniques, it is possible to give this metal different colours or deposit a hard layer
Aluminium milling at AFMI
Our milling machines are suitable for milling aluminium. We have several 3-axis as well as 5-axis (simultaneous) machines. We can also have the machined aluminium anodised and, if applicable, provide it with mounted inserts. The machining possibilities are therefore endless!
